Firstly, thank you so much for all your kind comments after last week’s post. You’ll be relieved to hear I’m feeling much better. Catching up with friends, putting the world to rights over coffee and having a right good giggle over a glass or three has definitely helped to lift my spirits.
And a better mood means more motivation to do stuff.
Like tidying the office ahead of a crafty get together, where I’ll be sharing everything I know about the Cricut cutting machine with a friend who’s itching to make stencils.
Everything I know…
Hmmm…
It could be a short session!
Beloved and I also treated ourselves to a new toy and we’re already totally hooked on the Amazon Echo.
We blame said friends and their three glasses entirely for our unplanned purchase, but we can’t deny that issuing voice commands to control the lighting in our home has us giggling like school kids. Alexa and I are already planning world domination for Halloween.
Oh yes.
The other thing I did this week was knock up this really quick Easter display.
Bunny love has come to the OneandSeventy!
Beloved and I have plans for Easter, so I’ve decided not to bother updating the mantel. Instead, I’m keeping things simple, but it seems the bunnies are multiplying.
As you know, crafting and seasonal décor are my passions, but you don’t need a mantel or complicated craft projects to decorate for the seasons. All you need are a few decorative ceramics and a couple of seasonal items grouped together on a tray and hey presto!
Easter has come to your kitchen table!
And it was cheap as chips too. Check out the sources.
- Green “grass” Bunnies – Tesco
- Easter Straw – Sainsbury’s
- Ceramics – Charity Shop
- Plastic Easter Eggs – Hobbycraft
- Square Tray – Local garden centre (in the sale)
- “Spring” banner – made on the Cricut
- Magnolia Flower – Stolen from next door’s tree
There’s still plenty of time to create your own Easter display and I would LOVE to see your masterpieces. Come on over and share your creations on Facebook, or tag me in your Instagram photos. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
A hui hou,
