Beloved and I don’t do Christmas. We don’t do the whole turkey thing and haven’t exchanged gifts in 15 years. But if we did, these are the sort of cool gifts we’d like to see under the OneandSeventy Christmas Tree.
Well I say, “we”…
Looking down this list, Beloved would probably blow a gasket or at best, roll his eyes at some of these, but I have included a few ideas for the man in your life too!
For art lovers with a conscience
Charity prints from Nicki Kelly, raising funds for Homeless,
Mental Health Awareness Charities and the Manchester Appeal.
No cool wall would be complete without a Nickie Kelly print and with proceeds going charity, you also know you’re doing something truly amazing.
Cool gift for gold lovers
Gold Peace Hand Ornament, Rockett St George
Don’t tell anyone, but I’d have this one facing *ahem* the other way around.
For kitchen lovers
Crofton Grey Marble Boards, Aldi
These beauts were available online in 2017, but hopefully they’ll make another appearance!
No trendy kitchen would be complete without a grey marble chopping board with gold inlay and Aldi has three shapes to choose from. Get in quick! These babies will sell like hot cakes!
Cool gifts for the skull obsessed
I spied this stunning skull brush on this post from my lovely blogger friend, Alexandra at Me and Annabelle Lee but forget shaving, I’d use this beaut as a blusher brush!
Black Skull Spoons, Haus of Skulls
Would someone please buy me a couple of these to go with my Haus of Skulls Teacup and Saucer sets? Thanking you.
Jewelled Skulls from Yours Truly
Entirely hand-decorated and taking around 7 hours to complete, each jewelled skulls is a work of art worthy of any skull collection.

For monsters of rock
Rock On, Nickie Kelly
You can’t beat a bit of edgy black and white art and this exclusive photograph by my lovely Instagram buddy Pati Robins is a must-have gallery wall addition for the rocker in your life.
For Poe lovers
Dark grey raven lamp, Abigail Ahern Edition at Debenhams
I really, REALLY, wanted the pink dog lamp, but I think I may have missed the boat on that one, dammit.
I can hear Beloved’s sigh of relief from here.
So this is the next best thing.
Perfect for fellow fans of Halloween and Edgar Allan Poe. Would also suit anyone with a love for Victorian Gothic home decor or basically, anyone with a sense of humour when it comes to making a house a home.
Total aside Poe fans… if you subscribe to receive my ramblings into your inbox the print above is available as a FREE, watermark-free download.
For lovers of the profane
Mirror, Mirror on the wall…
Who doesn’t need a little profanity in their lives? This A4 print with individually-cut and hand-decorated apple is another Yours Truly exclusive. Fancy getting your hands on one? contact me here.
For gadget lovers
I don’t pretend to know much about buying for blokes, but here are a couple of things Beloved’s been banging on about.
Amazon Prime, Amazon
Unlimited 1-day delivery (much of it free), free access to Amazon’s music library and free movies. What’s not to love?
***UPDATE November 2018*** After this post, Beloved took the plunge and signed up for Amazon Prime. I have to say… it’s one of the best things he ever did. Aside from giving us a great movie and music source, he also uses his subscription to order a great deal of my Halloween crafting bits ‘n’ pieces. And there’s no WAY we’d have got 4 Really Useful storage boxes in the car!
PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB, click below or search for the best deals
For months, all I’ve heard is “when we buy my PlayStation 4”, but I’d just like to point out at this juncture that he had one. HE HAD ONE! We bought it on Black Friday 2016 and he SENT IT BACK!! To be fair, neither of us were impressed that he couldn’t transfer our huge library of SingStar songs from the PlayStation 3, but he DID have one!
Cool gifts for Smart Home lovers
Beloved and I have come to rely heavily on our smart home set up, which includes Amazon Alexa, Phillips Hue lights (search “Hue Starter Kit”) and TP-Link plugs. They’re an investment, but the gadget lover in your life will love you forever.
At some point, I’ll do a blog post about OneandSeventy’s Smart Home setup but until then, if you have any questions, give me a shout!
A hui hou,
