Day of the Dead Halloween Giveaway 2018 - The Witch at OneandSeventy

Witching Hour is just 1 month away and do I have a special treat for you! I’m giving you the chance to win an exclusive Day of the Dead statue that Beloved and I brought back from Mexico! Not only that, but there’s also a brand new printable in my Free Resource Library.

I know. I spoil you.

Trick or Treat Halloween Printable from The Witch at OneandSeven

With a rhyme composed by Beloved, my latest printable was designed for this year’s Halloween Open House, where it’ll sit on the witch’s Trick or Treat station. When you see the finished room it’ll make perfect sense but even without the giant cauldron that I’ll be sharing next week, it makes a fun sign for your spooktacular visitors.

To download your free printable, click on the image above to subscribe for email updates. Once you’re all signed up, you’ll receive a welcome email from me with all the details you need to access your subscriber-only library.

For existing subscribers, follow the usual link to the library (you’ll find it in your weekly email) and the new printable is at the very top.

I hope you love it!

And now for the skullalicious stuff.

Earlier this year, Beloved and I enjoyed a very special holiday in Mexico to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Here we are after a swim in a Cenote, receiving an impromptu blessing from a Shaman Priest.

Now THAT was something special.

With its 7 All Inclusive gourmet restaurants, swim-up suites, amazing staff, gorgeous spa AND a beautiful beach JUST THERE, TUI’s Sensimar El Dorado Suites and Spa in the Riviera Maya really did spoil us.

Beloved and I are still dining out on the memories and we’re already planning to return just as soon as pennies allow.

Did I mention we had a swim-up suite?

Just a short swim to the left of our sunloungers is one of several swim-up bars, where an electric lemonade or two whilst lounging on a lilo was the perfect cooling aid.

One of the weekly events at The El Dorado Suites is an artisan market, that’s stuffed to the gills with handmade Mexican arts and crafts. Well, you can imagine how happy this made me and of course, I couldn’t possibly pass up the opportunity to bring home a souvenir or two.

During our first visit to the market, I couldn’t resist this gorgeous blue Day of the Dead statue and a Mayan Calendar which, having safely navigated 5,000 miles, I promptly managed to drop the first time I tried hanging it on the wall.

As you can see, once I stopped wailing and fired up the glue gun, it’s back in one piece. Kind of.

Hey! Now it just looks like it just came out of a Mayan ruin!

When the market returned the following week, Beloved and I headed straight for the statue stall to pick up another Day of the Dead souvenir.

For you!

Based on a character from Pixar’s beautiful film, Coco, this authentic Day of the Dead statue is reputedly made from Marlin Bone and stands 19cm tall by 8.5cm wide.

And it could be yours!
