Creepy Curiosity Corner #Halloweendecorations

This may come as a huge surprise, but Halloween is never far from my thoughts. Ha! And one of the ways I like to indulge my passion all year long is by decorating with creepy curios.

Some are the curious creations dredged up from the dark recesses of my mind, which you’ll find within these pages, but others are just regular, run-of-the-mill shop-bought items…

With a creepy, Witch at OneandSeventy twist.

Take these baby shoes for instance.

They’ve been around for a few years now, sitting quietly atop an unassuming corner cabinet in the OneandSeventy Dining Room. They’re nothing special, just a pair of small leather shoes with a broken button that Beloved picked up for pennies on a well known buy and sell site (that shall not be named because I bloody HATE it!)

On their own, they’re fairly innocuous. But displayed under a cloche with a little mood lighting and suddenly, these little person’s shoes take on a whole new level of creep.

Or maybe it’s the items that surround them that ramps up the spooky atmosphere?

After all, not everyone has a year-round collection of skulls.

Although I’ve no idea why. If you ask me, every home deserves something a little skullalicious!

If your creepy curios happen to be part of a larger display that includes a £10 vintage corner cabinet chock-full of handmade and shop-bought wonderment, then the creep value hits a new high.

But what if that corner cabinet with its curious contents is not alone?

What if there’s another?

And what if both cabinets are part of an even LARGER display?

Say a whole room?

Then you have yourself a home that oozes Halloween all year round.

Even in May. When the sun is streaming in.

And to me, that is the definition of pure, unadulterated joy.

Are you a Halloween junkie with a year-round passion for all things spooktacular? Do you love skulls and creepy curios?
