Now let’s get something straight.

Where I come from, it’s breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Tea is a drink with jam and bread.

One simply does not argue with Julie Andrews.

As part of our recent kitchen makeover, I knocked up this sign to remind visitors (lest they forget) that despite living in Staffordshire, OneandSeventy is very much a Saaf East Lundun zone.

There’s no breakfast, dinner and tea in this house.

Coz I does speak The Queen’s English.

Innit.

This sign was so simple, it was made and up on the wall before you could say “make us a brew”.

What I used:

  • A scrap piece of wood that a friend was throwing in the skip
  • Black vinyl
  • Cricut Explore

Combine lyrics from The Sound of Music and a piece of scrap wood to create a cute and simple piece of artwork for your kitchen.

How to make simple artwork with scrap wood

  • Give the plank a little clean, just to remove any grease or dirt that might stop the vinyl from sticking
  • Cut out the letters on your cutting machine or by hand
  • Stick the letters onto the plank

Like I said.

Simple!

Top Tip:

You don’t even need a cutting machine (although it does make life SO much more fun!) You could easily use ready-made stickers, or the transfer method I used to create our house sign and wedding gift box.

What do you think? Are you a lunch and dinner person, or are you firmly in the dinner and tea camp?

Don’t let me down people.

As always, I’d love to hear from you, so drop a comment below and let me know!

A hui hou,
