I don’t do saying goodbye to summer very well, but as the wheel of the year takes another turn, I’ve taken a little break from the Halloween crafting to welcome the arrival of autumn.
Tomorrow’s Autumn Equinox (also known as Mabon) sees the shift into the darker side of the year – a time for candles, hearty food and cosying up on the sofa. Get ready people, winter is coming.
Said no-one ever until Game of Thrones.
I’ve kept the autumn décor fairly simple this year, pulling together items that I’ve used previously.
Coupled with a few new additions, like these amazing pumpkins from TK Maxx.
Or was it HomeSense?
Apologies, I got so excited I can’t actually remember which ones came from where (and sadly, the receipts shed absolutely no light on that whatsoever!)
There was also a cute ceramic owl from The Original Factory Shop.
And a new autumn wreath that I knocked up really quickly with a bunch of stuff I had lying around.
I had no choice. There were no more pennies in the Suzy Homemaker pot after spending it all on this year’s Halloween Haul! If you’ve been following along on Facebook or Instagram, you’ll know ALL about THAT!
Anyway, here are a few more photos to ease you gently into the new season.
So there you have it, OneandSeventy all dressed up for autumn and ready to start the long journey to spring.
Mabon blessings one and all.
A hui hou,
