It’s Monday, it’s June, and it is a BEAU-tiful day. Summer is here! Whooo hoooo! Which means I have ZERO interest in being sat at my desk.
Mind you, I can’t blame summer entirely. I’ve been feeling this way for a while. All this making a living malarky is hard at the best of times, isn’t it? But when the sun is shining… Well, let’s just say I’m even less inclined to slave over a hot keyboard. Sometimes, you wake up and find your get up and go has just got up and gone. Know what I mean?
So what do I do when my motivation is on the floor?
I. Make. Home.
I paint and I craft and I move things around.
And then, I spend hours plotting, planning and visualising what I’m going paint, craft, and move around next.
All in the name of creating new surroundings.
Because that’s what makes my heart sing.
Along with breakfast in the sun.
You may have noticed I’ve been a bit quiet of late. May is a big month around these parts, so I took a little time off from blogging but never fear… Suzy’s still here!
I may not have done any writing, but I have been busy making home and I’m looking forward to bringing you the fruits of my labours.
I may have included a couple of hints in this post, just to whet your appetite.
And because I can’t help myself.
In the meantime, I just wanted to drop in and say “hi” to all my lovely subscribers old and new, reassure you I’m still alive and share some OneandSeventy sunshine.
A little summer stylin’ of the Suzy Homemaker variety.
What do you do when your mojo goes missing? Drop a comment below and let me know!
